A person in love with God does great things and becomes a powerful apostle.

I was poking around the Notre Dame Academy Hingham website today & came across the following letter that Mary Ellen had written to the parents of Seniors last Spring.

Dear Parent,

A person in love with God does great things and becomes a powerful apostle.
Julie, Themes

Your daughter's senior year is rapidly coming to a close! The days after April vacation will really fly by for her and for you! It is our firm hope that these four years have helped her to grow closer to her Savior and to use what she has learned to understand her world better so as to have the proper compassion for others. ....

...... This is such a happy, holy and wonderful time for you and your daughter. Indeed, we have so much faith and wisdom to celebrate!

Sincerely,

Mrs. Mary Ellen Cassani, ANDdeN
Principal

[Here's the link to the NDA page I took this from: http://www.ndahingham.com/page.cfm?calview=grid&month=2&p=337&period=day&year=2006 ]

I was immediately struck by the quote from Julie that she had used to head her letter because I thought that it describes Mary Ellen perfectly!

The second thing that that struck me was Mary Ellen's wish that the Seniors had learned proper compassion for others. Was Mary Ellen herself treated with "proper compassion"? What kind of example was set for the current students at NDA?
